am i a computer master yet. am i lain yet. am i a great and powerful wizard that can rewrite the laws of this reality.
ooh look at that image. wow that is just perfect. beautiful. we're making the magic happen here folks.
m barky
m trying to make stories and stuff.
at the same time i am also trying to make music, and art
keeping a small 25-key midi keyboard around my bed to mess around with makes it 1000x easier to start things than a longer keyboard that's like 10
pounds, wow go figure
i use the fl studio trial (lets you do everything but open files) and musescore's free soundfonts because i'm a cheap bastard
and i'm doing drawabox
not great at any of those yet. u know how in tv shows they're like "the real key is confidence or not being afraid of failure or continuing". well
they're totally right, but that's also really goddam hard.
gotta unlearn one bad habit at a time
sometimes i also make lil tools for those, because i've also been learning javascript. and by learning i mean i started a free course, never bothered
finishing it, and just used that barebones knowledge to program small stuff (i don't really have any bigger ambitions than that anyway)
this is where i'll put a lot of those tidbits of code
beliefs
capitalism more like uh Crapitalism *high-fives myself* (socialism sounds like the best alternative but, lacking actual knowledge of what it
entails, i'm not willing to do anything more than support vaguely socialist policies like universal health care and condemn the current system with
no presented alternative. insert the copypasta everyone used for squid game here)
the way society is right now, all new technologies are evaluated solely by how convenient they are and their benefits are directed to the 1% to the
furthest extent possible. considering ai art, automation, stagnating wages, light pollution, the plastic swirling in the ocean, and the fact that
rainwater is no longer drinkable, that doesn't bode well i think
a lot of people are led by american culture to have a very simplistic view of life, seeing things almost exclusively in terms of what can provide
tangible/material benefit which has, a LOT of bad effects,
the idea that a job can and should be a fulfilling way of being part of your community seems like an alien concept, considering how much life and
our values have been eroded by the single-minded nature of capitalism
people eat like shit every day in part because the mental/physical benefits of eating better are not as tangible as the time/effort spent on
preparing and planning your meals
pretty mmuch evry problem is only a problem when someone's dying from it, and even then maybe not
like probably everyone else on here i think it's much better for everyone to have their own space online than for everyone to be using the same
social medias that do something fucked up every week. that's what the internet used to be like. i don't think what we have now is better. if
twitter's gonna burn, you might as well move somewhere where no advertisers can stick their grubby little fingers.
but i'm just as easily bored and depressed by this as anyone else so i won't talk too much about it. i'm not very good at getting on a soapbox
i've never watched serial experiments lain. i probably should, apparently it's like the fuckin bible from how often i see it on here. everyobdy loves
seeing lain turn into a computer or whatever the fuck happens
what the fuck do i link. why do i gotta add another link tutorial cat, i fuckin heard you the first time.
